Do I have to order multiple photo tiles?

No, order as many as you like. There’s no minimum order.

How often can I order a photo tile?

You can order as many photo tiles as you like. First photo tile each month will require that you pay only for delivery. Additional tiles are only £8 each. Product

How large are the tiles?

We carry 2 different square tile sizes. 8” x 8” and 12.5” x 12.5” with ¾” depth.

Are the photo tiles made of foam?

No. Never. We don’t skimp on materials, so you’ll never have to worry about your tiles arriving damaged or holding up over the long haul. We use a durable plastic material for our backing. It’s a patented design, and our tiles are guaranteed for life!

What kind of paper are my photos printed on?

Each photo is digitally printed on luxe paper stock with a beautiful matte finish and fade-resistant coating.

Where are the photo tiles manufactured?

All of our photo tiles are manufactured in the U.K. to the highest quality standards.

Hanging Tiles

How do I stick a tile to the wall?

It’s easy. Each tile comes with four small adhesive pads stuck to the back. Easily peel off the protective film on the four pads. Then simply press the tile onto the wall.

How can I make sure it’s straight?

We offer an optional FreePrints Magic Level™ for only £2. This patented tool will help you to ensure that each tile is perfectly straight and evenly spaced from the tile next to it. Or just do it the old-fashioned way with a level of your own. Don’t sweat it too much; if you get it wrong, just move the tile to a new position.

Will any type of wall work?

Our tiles adhere to the overwhelming majority of surfaces. They’re meant to be applied to painted drywall, plaster, cinder block, glass, wood, vinyl, tile and other smooth, sealed and finished surfaces. We do not advise applying tiles to wallpaper nor to a freshly painted wall. (If your wall is freshly painted, check your paint can for cure time.)

Can I remove a tile once it’s on the wall?

Absolutely! Just pull gently on the front of the tile, and it will come right off the wall. Because our tiles are made of plastic and not foam core, they’re super durable; you never have to worry about damaging a tile when you remove it.

Hanging Tiles Best Practices

Clean the surface: Clean the surface where the tile will be mounted to ensure a strong bond.

Measure the area: Measure the area where the tile will be mounted to ensure that it fits properly.

Level the tile: Make sure the tile is level when mounting it.

Avoid direct sunlight: Try to avoid exposing the photo tile to direct sunlight, as it can fade over time or peel.

Using the Application

FreePrints Photo Tiles does not have access to my photos on my device. How do I enable access?

iPhone or iPad: Open the Settings app, and then tap Privacy, Photos, Photo Tiles, and tap All Photos.

Android: Open the Settings app, and then tap Apps, Photo Tiles, tap Files and media, and select Allow access to media only.

A small triangle with an exclamation mark is appearing on one of my tiles. What does that mean?

Your photo is too small and may appear fuzzy or blurry when printed at the selected size. We suggest you replace it with a higher-resolution photo.
